Flag dimensions: 18 1/2" hoist X 19" fly.

These printed wool camp colors in the US national pattern adhere to the specifications prescribed in General Order No. 4, Headquarters of the U.S. Army, dated 18 January 1862. One camp color includes 34 white stars in seven horizontal rows with a noticeable gap in the center of the fourth row. The other camp color includes 35 white stars in seven horizontal rows with a slightly larger star, presumably the 35th, in the center. When constructed, the wool fabric was rolled along the hoist edge and stitched to form a staff sleeve. The staff sleeve on these flags is no longer stitched in place.
