MUSEUM CLOSED: The museum and research center will be closed for renovations from 10 October 2022 to the winter of 2023. 

 

Admission

There is no admission charge to visit the museum or use the research center.

Accessibility

The museum floor is completely accessible for people using wheelchairs. The research room is currently located in the basement which is only accessible via stairs.

Directions

The NY Military Museum and Veterans Research Center is located in Saratoga Springs, New York, approximately 25 miles north of Albany, New York.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM THE SOUTH:

  • Take route 87 north from Albany.
  • Get off at exit 13N and proceed north on Route 9.
  • You will be on Route 9 for about four and one-half miles.
  • Turn right (east) on route 29, which is also Lake Avenue.
  • The Museum is in the old armory building which is 3 blocks on the left.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM THE NORTH:

  • Take route 87 south.
  • Get off at exit 15 and proceed south on route 50.
  • After about one and one-half miles turn left to stay on Route 50 south, this is also Broadway and Route 9.
  • Go about one-quarter mile and turn left on route 29, which is also Lake Avenue.
  • The Museum is in the old armory building which is 3 blocks on the left.
