This regiment, then located in New York city and county, and commanded by Col. William R. W. Chambers, but not now in existence, was mustered in the United States service for a period of 100 days, July 20, 1864, and left the State at the same time; it was mustered out of this service November 1, 1864, at New York city.
It lost by death, of disease, two enlisted men.
